Garek Patrick Guillen, 28, of 144 Michelle Circle, crashed his vehicle after running off Highway 11E in Jefferson City, New Market Police Officer Lathe Daniels reported. Guillen is charged with felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IlI controlled substance, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia possession, driving on the wrong side of the road, and speeding. Daniels reported that he stopped Guillen's vehicle at 2:51 a.m.

Owner Matthew Jamerson of Sweetwater told officers his vehicle broke down and was leaking oil and other fluids. Stolen car recovered after morning pursuit A New Market man was arrested early Sunday morning after he allegedly fled a police traffic stop in a stolen car, sheriff's reports say. Logan Tylor Bowser, 20, of 1718 Westward Road, is charged with theft over $1,000. felony evading arrest, resisting arrest, and driving on a suspended license, Deputy Justin Frison reported. Frison reported that he attempted to stop the driver of a 2001 Mercury Sable after spotting a suspicious person in the parking lot of the 424 Marathon. which was closed at the time.
The driver headed west on Interstate 40, and Frison's check of the license tag revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen by its owner in Hamblen County. As other deputies arrived to assist in the pursuit, the driver drove into the median and ran on foot toward a nearby rest area. Assisted by Sgt. Tim Herzog's canine partner Ryker, the officers located Bowser inside an empty vehicle at the rest area. He refused to exit the car, and officers had to physically remove him, Frison reported.
