Taylor Swift artwork is on display in Liverpool ahead of the musician's arrival in the city.

Taylor will arrive in the city next week to perform three shows at Anfield Stadium as part of The Eras Tour. The city has gone all out to celebrate her arrival.

As part of this, a series of local artists, supported by Culture Liverpool and social enterprise Make CIC, have curated the Taylor Town Trail, which includes a number of incredible pieces to match each of her albums. There are other notable nods to Taylor around the city. Here is a guide of where to find them all.

Midnights

Taylor’s tenth studio album Midnights was inspired by her sleepless nights with nocturnal themes. As such, the Midnights artwork invites Swifities to take a seat inside the witching hour, the time of night that is associated with supernatural events, and see the world tick by as you take your Midnights-inspired selfie.

It was created by Xyleia, Mulberry Workshop and Quirky Design Co.

Location: Lime Street Station

Access Times: Monday - Saturday 4.30am - midnight, Sunday 7.30am – midnight

As you head out of Lime Street Station, you’ll spot a huge banner with ‘TAYLOR’ spelt out and the letters separated by the Liverpool Loves Taylor logo. It hangs from St George’s Hall and was put up ahead of the installation of the Taylor Trial.

Speak Now

The Speak Now artwork is made by the Mulberry Workshop and Quirky Design Company. It has a stage and several microphones in lilac, the colour that defines this era.

Red

Giant red lips form the backdrop for this Taylor-themed red room made by Anna Mulhearn and Mulberry Workshop. Swifties are invested to see how many easter eggs you can find from this era.

Folklore

This is an incredible moss-covered grand piano made by the Quirky Design Company. It was inspired by music videos from this era showing Taylor playing on a moss-covered piano. You can tickle the ivories if you want or just enjoy the tranquil setting.

Evermore

The beautiful swing bench is draped in autumnal florals. Made by the Local Florist, it nods to seasonal themes and promotional material of the 2020 album.

The Tortured Poets Department

Continuing the theme of colours, Catherine Rogers has created a giant black-and-white mural. It is made up of hidden nods to The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor’s most recent album.

Reputation

Swities can take a seat on this regal throne and be surrounded by snakes and skulls. Made by Submarine Studios, Xyleia and Mulberry Workshop, it nods to clips from the music video for Look What You Made Me Do, a single from the album. In this, Taylor appears on a skull-inspired throne as a snake slithers up the side.

Taylor Swift

A 7ft-high butterfly installation, made by Design Laser Play, is inspired by Taylor Swift’s debut album. Released in 2006, the country pop sound propelled her into stardom. The giant wings are said to be reminiscent of where it all began for Taylor.

Lover

Inspired by ‘You Need to Calm Down’ from this album, this installation inspires love and inclusivity with a candy cane dream of hearts, rainbows and maybe a pink flamingo or two.

It is the vision of Everton-born artist Buy By Bethan and the Quirky Design Company, enrapturing the theme of romance from the single and wider album.

1989

Swifties can put head in the clouds with this installation inspired by the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album aesthetic of blue skies, dreams and birds. You can take your picture-perfect polaroid amongst the hand-crafted seagulls. The artwork has been made by Xyleia, Hannah Ng, Quirky Design Company and Submarine Studios

Fearless

This colourful piece, made by Molly Mural, is inspired by Taylor’s second era, is the perfect selfie backdrop. Immerse yourself in the Fearless theme and Taylor’s lucky number of 13.

The Phoenix Hotel close to Anfield stadium has been booked up a year in advance for Taylor’s gigs. As such, it wanted to do “something special” according to its general manager Marie Carter, and therefore commissioned a huge mural based on Taylor in a previous Eras Tour gig to go on its outside wall.
