The 31 best dim sums in Milan (2024)

Suili Zhous is a restaurant in via Fabio Filzi that specializes in Cantonese dim sum. The large room has large windows and high ceilings, giving the impression of an elevated atmosphere. The service is excellent and the food delicious, with Bib Gourmand distinction from Michelin Guide.

Fancy and elegant place, where you could have really good food and wine. Me and my gf had a great time, everything was very relaxing. We ordered in advance a Peking duck, and man was it a great choice! They serve it in 3 different ways:- first, the “famous” part: skin and external part of meat (cut in front of you by the chef), with veggies, amazing sauce and rice rolls. They bring you a wet napkin to clean your hands before- second, duck with vegetables. Sooo good (especially the non-spicy one, we had both)-third, they serve the bones, fried (but still, not too heavy) with some spicesIf you don’t usually eat a lot, I’d recommend riding this for 3 people. We had a great red wine for the entire meal.I really love this place. Service and attention to details are top notch.

What a great dim sum place! The amuse bounche was really amazing! My second time there. I found it’s even better than last time I went.We had to run for the train and requested a quick lunch. It was very efficient. The interior design is really pleasant and comfortable. Next time definitely stay longer for a nice dinner. Highly recommend to try.

Everything was amazing. I would recommend ordering a few dim sum and appetizers to share and then 1 plate a la carte each.

(Translated by Google)The store was spacious and clean.I ordered xiao long bao, Peking duck, rice noodles, and signature desserts, and they were all very delicious and I was very satisfied❗️❗️I especially liked the dessert as it was my first experience having never eaten it before🍨There was ice cream and something like pound cake in the center of the rubble of sweet and salty meringue. It's hard to explain if you ask me what it is, but it was delicious💗💯For tea, I ordered oolong tea and pu-erh tea, and both were delicious❗️Pu-erh tea is something that people who don't mind the taste will like! People who don't like quirks might want to avoid it.

Me and a friend were in there yesterday lunch and I can’t even say the food taste good, in fact everything does look pretty but that’s it.Food is just okay, nothing in particular special, but the restaurant is positioned in a high-end restaurant, it does not meet the standard. I mean it’s Milan you could find a way better average restaurant (food quality, price… etc.) in downtown. The antipasti are most likely the best one in the all grub we had and this is not even on our order list. The price is ridiculous expensive compared what did they actually serve and food quality. Totally not recommend. We had a typical “dim sum” (Shumai, Dumpling, Shrimp dumpling, Barbeque pork bun, Roastpi, Tempeh pork ribs and a mushroom veg rice bowl)Especially the rice bowl is terribly bad as Asian cuisine they cooked the rice like “Risotto” and cording to the menu supposed to be the rice with the mushroom, but only two pieces of wood ear fungus that’s all, taste is just blank only sesame oil that’s it.We have talked to the service about the rice and naught response just a kinky “oh really” react and the whole time no one even comes to ask how was the food which is very unprofessional and I’m feeling this is not very standard for this kind of the fancy restaurant.Even though my friend is very generous tips them ten euro (which is 10% of our order's price) and no thank you nothing. Feeling the money trolling to the water and nothing gained from the experience. It’s first time and the last time we had visited.

Beautiful, delicious and unique food. Wonderful vegan options and definitely gourmet flavours. The restaurant is also beautiful and close to the main train station. The mapo tofu was amazingly spicy and the mochi was incredible.

This place was amazing. My girlfriends face hurt after eating here she was smiling so much. We had just finished a long day of hiking and honestly we were dressed down and yet they still gave us amazing service. The food and presentation was excellent and the prices I found quite reasonable for the quality. Thanks to all the great waiters that took care of us!

Loved every dish and we tried many! This is one of the best places I've been for dim sum. It is a pity they took the fried buns off the menu...I loved them. For the location, the restaurant is elegant, romantic and modern and the service is attentive and caring. Also, at our arrival they gave us free starters to taste (amazing fried shrimp balls), and for dessert they offered a mix of sweets 😍

Chinese food is always our first priority. Taste good. Environment good. Service good. Detail good (the temperature of food has been very good controlled, we think. Because it always the perfect temperature for mouth). 红油抄手 tastes very good.

This was the best Cantonese dimsum I've ever eaten. It was even better than the dimsum from Vancouver, BC and places like Hakasaan. It's more expensive than your typical Chinese restaurant, but it is worth the money. They are listed in the Michelin guide and they deserve at least one star!

On the high end side, high price with luxus atmosphere. Felt underdressed when came in but the staffs were all nice with good service. Food very good. Small portion. Highly recommended if u craving for dimsum

Upscale dim sum in Milan! This is probably the best you can find, especially coming from someone living in Hong Kong. I was so impressed by the xiao long bao (we ordered seconds), Cheung fan, and the stir fried noodles. The only downside was the char siu, which was not as juicy and authentic as I had hoped. Would probably skip on that next time and try the peking duck. Also, the kitchen is super clean and nice, with lots of chefs. The ambience is perfect for a quiet date night or nice dinner with family or friends. Overall, a very pleasant dinner!

Our culinary adventure at Mu Dimsum in Milan was an enchanting experience that took us on a journey through the vibrant essence of Asian cuisine. The tasting menu, priced at a reasonable €60, was an elaborate spread that showcased the restaurant's flair for creating dishes that were both traditional and innovative. The evening began with the "Involtini Primavera," a delightful spring roll filled with mackerel, shrimp, and soy noodles, which set a high standard for what was to come. Following this was the "Dim Sum Combo," a spectacular assortment of five dumplings, each with a distinct flavor and perfectly steamed texture that simply melted in the mouth. The mezzaluna with mushrooms and a hint of truffle was an outstanding dish. The "Tagliatelle di Manzo" was a fusion masterpiece, homemade rice tagliatelle with beef, soy sprouts, and Chinese garlic leaves, offering a beautiful balance of flavors and textures. The "Char Siu Bao" – grilled bio organic pork buns – was another highlight, with its tender pork filling encased in a light, fluffy bun, a true homage to its Guangdong origins. We loved the delicate taste and the balance between the pork and the caramelised onions. The "Peking Duck" was a showstopper, served traditionally with thin crepes, a sweet sauce, and crispy vegetables that created a harmonious blend of flavors with each bite. The skin was crisp and and the meat was extremely tender almost melting in your mouth. An unexpected yet thoroughly delightful aspect of the meal was the tea pairing. Each tea was thoughtfully selected to complement the dishes, enhancing the flavors and providing a refreshing counterpoint to the rich and savory notes of the food. The tea pairing, available for €30, was an outstanding experience that elevated the tasting menu to new heights. The tea is prepared table side with detailed explanation. A highlight was the Jasmin flavoured green tea for the dessert which was prepared cold table side.Dessert was a sweet finale with "Mochi al Mango" and an assortment of "Piccola Pasticceria," which provided a light yet satisfying end to the meal. The mango jelly and matcha glutinous rice film were particularly memorable, with subtle sweetness and a soft, chewy texture. The service throughout the meal was impeccable. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the dishes and the teas but also attentive and enthusiastic, contributing to an overall dining experience that was as smooth and delightful as the teas themselves.Mu Dimsum provided an exceptional dining experience that I would recommend to anyone in Milan seeking a taste of Asia with a modern twist. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and the unique tea pairing makes it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts.

Initiation to Peking duck did not disappoint. Creative dim sum and delicious dishes made this a fun experience with the family. Wonderful time!

Skewed toward the high end for dim sum but enjoyable. Upscale ambiance so don’t expect to see carts being rolled up to your table (adjust expectation accordingly). Extensive tea selection and wine menu! Some dishes were authentic while others were modernized/upscaled (xiao long bao with pipettes of vinegar pre-inserted to assist with flavoring, and black charsiu buns with ✨gold✨ specks). Staff was very attentive and professional. The meal started with small apps and ended with sweets on the house. Everything in between was delicious 😋

The peking duck dumpling and Xiao Long Bao where awesome, especially the peking duck dumpling. I tried one of every dumpling. All the food was good, nothing was bad. However some of the food was truly exceptional. So good in fact it made the food that was just ok seem disappointing lol. The pan fried pork dumpling, the wonton in chili / chinese black vinegar, char shu bao pan fried shumai, hargow, seafood noodle soup where all wonderful and I would order them all again. That last thing we tried was from the dinner menu, the char shu, this was not your average char shu, it was PERFECTLY juicy, and had a unique take on the tradtional bbq sauce that really put it over the top into a remarkable pork dish.Make sure to try the deserts, the lau sha bao (salted duck egg yolk lava buns) was on point and a must try. The chef also send some amuse bouche our way and every bite was really good. This is a fancy place, the food was good and we did order a'lot of it. We left with our bellys full and very happy. The service is top notch, you cannot get better service here, and everyone was fluent with English. I think they were fluent in Italian also and I suspect mandarin or cantonese. Amazing to have such talented nice staff.Highly recommend, will definitely come back. Also walking distance from grand central station train stop.

It was nice experience for the vibe but the food wasn’t authentic unfortunately. Mostly, Peking duck and spicy dumping were not recommended, far from the real taste.

I have dined with MU Dimsum twice within my last trip to Milano. Once for dinner, upon my arrival to Milan and once for lunch before my flight back home.

When I was trying to order for my dinner, my waitress offered me to order certain items one by one so that I can get the most of what Mu Dimsum would offer.

Started out with their amuse-bouche offering, continued with a shrimp & mackerel spring roll, steamed lobster & prawns dumpling with calvisius Caviar, steamed rice rolls with beef. For the main dish, I opted for Cernia, which turned out to be the least favorite dish of mine.

On my second visit to Mu, it was for lunch and I tried the Tartare Tonno Rosso, Duck Ragout Dumplings, Steamed Rice Rolls with Shrimps & Steamed Rice Rolls with Beef. All were divine, along with their financier and fruit paste - I have really enjoyed dining at MU.I would be back and I would totally recommend this place. And I must say, for the quality of food you are getting, the prices are extremely normal.

Amazing Dimsum, first time we tried a Chinese in Milan and first time lucky. I loved all the dumplings we tried and we tried most except the pork ones. Each was like a little work of art and a taste sensation. The lobster shrimp dumpling was probably our favourite but we loved all.
