Our Orthoptics students had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a screening day with the support of Speckles and Chemist Warehouse. 🎉It's never too early to get your eyesight checked. A simple vision and binocular test can tell you a lot about eyesight and brain development at any age. 👀#eyecare #orthoptics #UTSHealth

Sure, ChatGPT can write a poem about your pet in the style of T.S Eliot, but generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots have a potentially more useful role to play in idea generation according to a new study by University of Technology Sydney health researchers, Joshua Pate & Rebecca Fechner. They found that AI chatbots offer a novel avenue for idea generation, simulating multidisciplinary workshops that traditionally require significant time and resources.Dr Pate said the study highlights the potential for AI to contribute to educational strategies and clinical research, levelling the field for resource-limited settings. Could AI influence future research methodologies? https://ow.ly/nh4550RqkA2

Dating apps, like many apps these days, are designed to keep users engaged. Like any product on the market, one of the developers’ goals is for the app to be sold and used. While dating apps are designed to facilitate connections, some people may find themselves developing an unhealthy relationship with the app, constantly swiping left and right.Dr Anastasia Hronis, Clinical Psychologist and Research Fellow, gives us the science behind how dating apps are influencing our brains. Have a read, and give this us a "swipe right" if you ❤️'d. https://ow.ly/Be6450QIZyl
